- I AM A VERY CARING PERSON WITH LOTS OF GOALS IN LIFE.I GREW UP IN MOBILE ALABAMA, WENT TO COLLEGE AT ALABAMA A&M UNIVERSITY WERE I LEANED ALOT ABOUT LIFE AND TRANSFERED TO UAH TO ATTAIN MY DEGREE IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING AND MADE SOME GREAT FRIENDS ALONG THE WAY. - Grassroots Marketing is an Atlanta based lifestyle marketing company with full service capabilities for all types of products, brands, and services .Founded by Rodney (akshun) Simpson in January of 2008, started out as a intern at Joi studios the studio owned and operated by Linda Casey mother of well known songwriters, artist and producers Brian and Brandon Casey of the Multiplatinum R&B group Jagged Edge. With a lot of ambition and hardwork he parlayed that into a A&R position at 581 Muzik Group the companys label, in a years time he was instrumental in finding Renae for there female group Bad Gyrl and signing Reddklay Ent artist Justin aka J. Montgomery, Reddklay is also home to former Sony/ Columbia artist Yella Wolf. Since leaving 581 in January of 2008 Mr. Simpson has been busy assisting friend and mentor Mr. Ian Burke then head of A&R at Big Boi of outkast label Purple Ribbon Entertainment. He was instrumental in creating events such as High School High and Big Bois boom boom room with then A&R James Meeks (J-Meeks). He has also sat on committees with the Atlantis Music Conference, Got Hits, Young Film makers of America and now he is exited at the opportunity to work with Mr. Kevin Shine A&R consultant to Jive Records senior VP Wayne Williams on THE PREMIERE. Mr Simpson has worked on lots of other projects in Fashion, film , Stage Plays since entering this industry those are just a few. He looks to make GRMMCG LLC, a major force in the entertainment industry in the following years. GRMMCG LLC, specializes in building brands targeted to consumers that lead the masses to the latest product, service and cultural trends.

HOMECOMING 2008 WAS A GREAT SUCCESS BACK ON THE HILL
I am happy to say that for the most part hc was fun. It was cool running into people I have seen in years and watching how the kids I once mentored become successful. I hope that we can use this year as stepping stone to make next year even that much better. For those of you whom came to my event F.A.M.E. I try to be a bit more aware of a turn signal that I can respond to rather than driving in the zone.
