Profile Information

Relationship Status:
Single
About Me:
I have an 8 year old son name Joshua Christian ( My baby!!!!!!!!)

I have a love for my family and my sisterhood that can't be explained!! I love the Lord who is the head of my life, thru Him all that I am is made possible. Thank You Jesus for loving even me! I have a love for everyone that is real. With everything that I do in life I put others first and not myself. I have learned that there are more important things in life then me. In whatever compacity I am to fulfill in life, I know that my goal is to be of service to all mankind, by God's grace I am willing to do just that. You may not like me, you may not know me but hey you gotta to respect me because I will respect you. To love me is to know me, to know me means that you understand me and that is what's important. For once in my life I have a peace in knowing that my life and work is not in vain. The minor things that bothered me I don't sweat anymore because I can't change what has happened, what I can do is live for the today and try to be an example for all. Being too passionate about the past can hinder the future. What it does is hinder your spiritual growth and causes you to live life but you don't progress. In every aspect of your life those demons haunt and taunt you and it hinders the ministry that God may have for your life. Someone really close to me told me that recently and I didn't want to hear what she was saying. However, as I reflected on the converstation, I understood what she was saying to me. Thank you Friend for the advice!!

What is a Soror?

A soror is someone who is more special than words.
She is someone with whom you have a common bond-through the sisterhood.
She is love mixed with friendship-the best things in life.
She is one of the most precious individuals in the world.
And you'll always find her whether you're near or apart, for she is in every city, town, and nation.
She might be referred to as a "Sands" or "Line Sister."
How special!
Together you have shared moments in your lives.
A soror is a confidante and a counselor.
She's a wonderful friend. She's there when you need her-during the good times or the bad.
She represents honesty and trust enfolded in love.
And she may even be your mother, sister, daughter, aunt, grandmother, cousin, or friend.

My Unconquerable Soul!

William Ernest Henley. 1849–1903
INVICTUS
OUT of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

What is an Alpha Kappa Alpha Woman?

Alpha Kappa Alpha Mystique
Beauty unparalleled, grace undefined,
An Alpha Kappa Alpha Woman is one of a kind.
She walks in a room with her head held high,
Acknowledgement of her presences is an awe-filled gaze, or admiring sigh.
The Alpha Kappa Alpha Woman is regal and profound.
She is the essence of feminism and these qualities abound.
The Alpha Kappa Alpha Woman is honorable and oh so unique.
All of these qualities culminated,
Created the Alpha Kappa Alpha Mystique.

IF you go?!?! 10 year celebrations only come around once in a life time. I sure hope you reconsider and make it out to endure the moment with your sorors.

Success is a Team Sport Posted By : Cheryl E. Cook

Recently, I've been approaching highway driving a little differently. I look for opportunities to help another motorist out. I try to be a bit more aware of a turn signal that I can respond to rather than driving in the zone. What would happen if we all approached highway driving with the focus on helping each other arrive safely at our destinations? What if it were a team effort?
