About Me:

After AAMU I went to Atlanta and started grad school. Transferred to Texas Chiropractic College outside Houston, graduated so you got to call me Dr. Johnson Burke now!! Bought my first home a month before graduation. Became a member of Delta Sigma Theta. Married frat from Grambling, Jehielk "Kid Capri" Burke. Learned the meaning of being a good wife and extreme patience when 10 members of Jehielk's family resided with us for several months after running from Katrina. (Please keep New Orleans in your thoughts, there is still a lot to be done.) Teaching science by day and running my event consulting company (Events By Harmony "Setting the perfect tone") by night.

Recently, I've been approaching highway driving a little differently. I look for opportunities to help another motorist out. I try to be a bit more aware of a turn signal that I can respond to rather than driving in the zone. What would happen if we all approached highway driving with the focus on helping each other arrive safely at our destinations? What if it were a team effort?
