- While at A&M I was in the first class of ROTC that went completely through the program. I was also a part of those sultry sousaphones (what some people call Tubas).
Married to a wonderful lady, who also attended Alabama A&M. We are the grandparents of two beautiful little ladies- one born in 2005 and the other 2007, and a grandson born in 2008.
I am the pastor of Progressive Union Baptist Church. I have served there since 1986. I have the longest pastorate in the history of the church.
I serve as the president of the Progressive National Baptist Convention's Christian Education Congress, president of Greater Huntsville Ministers Fellowship. I am the past Academic Dean of Huntsville Bible College.
I am a proud Life member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. I am a former chaplain of the Huntsville Police Department.

Recently, I've been approaching highway driving a little differently. I look for opportunities to help another motorist out. I try to be a bit more aware of a turn signal that I can respond to rather than driving in the zone. How was your trip to the Mother Land?
I hope to go one day to Egypt, Morocco or even Nigeria (I guess you can see I'm looking for a pleasure trip when I go)
