About Me:
Over the past 18 years, we have shared life blessings and challenges. Our journey began in Honolulu, HI. After returning to the mainland in 1993, Nashville, TN became our home. Michael’s corporate career took youthful steps to Tampa, soon after to Coral Springs. After 9 years in South Florida, in 2005, we were confronted with a career move to the Midwest. Stepping out on Faith, holding to his unchanging hands, we relocated to Fargo, ND.

During our expedition, we acknowledge one handsome and two beautiful blessings.

God’s word is filled with many wonderful promises. We are promised that God will direct our steps, work all things to our good, and give us of His goodness.

Exodus 19:4-5: “You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to Myself. Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine.”

God only reveals to us a little at a time. If we are faithful, He will show more of His will to us. The more we align ourselves to God’s will, the more we will experience Him. One principle the bible clearly shows is that God will test our faithfulness before He increases us. A good example of this is illustrated in Matthew 25:14-30.

Learning to trust and depend on God is essential. As we grow, we need to learn to follow God wherever He leads. God never promised this would be easy. In fact, God will put us in a position that requires us to either turn from following Him, or depend on Him.

"Commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established." God honors commitment based on our step of faith. Commitment is to remain faithful even when we are challenged and don’t feel like continuing.

Hey Chala thanks so much for your prayers. I wish I could take credit for this site but I cannot. Eric was the one who hipped me to the site and when folks from our "era" would sign up he would let me know and I would in turn hit them up! As I write to you Marvin Sapp is playing on your page and Eric and I had many discussions about lifestyle changes etc and how important it was to change for health reasons. I will miss Eric terribly. He was trying to come to Homecoming in 08 and didn't make it because of health issues and made a vow that he would be there in 09. Yet another reason why we have to live life to the fullest! Thanks again for your kind words and your prayers!

Success is a Team Sport Posted By : Cheryl E. Cook

Recently, I've been approaching highway driving a little differently. I look for opportunities to help another motorist out. I try to be a bit more aware of a turn signal that I can respond to rather than driving in the zone. What would happen if we all approached highway driving with the focus on helping each other arrive safely at our destinations? What if it were a team effort?

Are You Growing Stars? Posted By : Cheryl E. Cook

Are you developing Rising Stars in your business or are they just Good-Luck-with-Getting-Your-Order-Right trainees? Are you laying out what you are expecting them to become? How do you set the stage for new employees, new contractors to become stars in your business?
