Dear Member Emeritus of the Alabama A&M University Choir:

It is with eager expectation that we await the Annual Homecoming Celebration here on “the Hill.” With this same spirit we solicit your participation in a combined effort of both current and alumni choir members to sing the national anthem before the game. We will also be ordering t-shirts for this event; the cost is $7.00. Sizes extra large and higher are one dollar more. You are welcome to place an order. The combined rehearsal will take place on Friday, September 25, 2009 at 4:30pm. Immediately after the rehearsal we will have a reception for everyone. On September 25 at 7:00 p.m. the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences is welcoming back all program graduates to Carver Complex B - Hobson Wing, for an evening of fun and reminiscing.

Reunite with faculty, staff, and other alumns to recapture old memories and share new changes. This is a great opportunity to see our remarkable facilities and exciting program developments. There will be entertainment, and buffet-style refreshments as well.

If you need accommodations, we have reserved a block Studio Suites for two nights under the group name of Alabama A&M University Family and Consumer Sciences All Class Reunion at the TownePlace Suites by Marriott. The group rate is $82.00/night plus 12% tax and $1.00 city tax. The rate includes daily continental breakfast and wireless internet service.

Reservations can be made by calling the hotel directly at 256-971-5277. To take advantage of the quoted rate, all reservations must be made by Monday, September 7, 2009. All major credit cards accepted.

Good Evening to All,
Homecoming 2009 is almost upon us and as some former choir members have stated over the last couple of years we would like to get everyone together on “The Hill” to share in old and new memories with each other.

Homecoming will take place on September 26, 2009 at Louis Crews Stadium @ 3:00 P.M. against Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

For those former & current choir members that are interested in participating in coming together to tailgate please reply as soon as possible. As a group we would like to have a University Choir tailgate area before, during and after the game, which would consist of food, drinks, music, and fun. In an effort to get our plan off the ground we need to know how many people are interested in participating and what type of monetary involvement is needed for the tailgate festivities.

To remember our time together ordering a T-shirt, Polo shirt or a nice button down shirt would be a good idea for the Alumnus of the University Choir. While parting and reconnecting with old and new friends this would be an excellent way to make our presence know on “The Hill.” Current choir members can also order shirts but their shits would be different from the Alumni members.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated and we look forward to hearing from everyone.

You are cordially invited to the CD listening event for Alabama A&M University Alumnus Tim Williams. Tim sang in the AAMU University Choir, and played the trombone in the AAMU Stage Band. His debut album, Sunny Day, is a mixture of Latin, reggae, contemporary, and traditional jazz.

Refreshments will be served.

CD’s will be available - $10.00
