A&M's Pearl Invited to Participate in "Prestigeous" Expert Coaching Forum

Offensive Coordinator Cedric Pearl has been selected by the NCAA as a participant in the 2009 NCAA Expert Coaches Forum. The NCAA selected 19 football coaches from across the country to participate in the event. The forum targets coaches with at least eight years of experience and is designed to improve and reinforce critical aspects of securing, managing, and excelling in head football coaching positions at the intercollegiate level. Topics covered during the three-day workshop include media training, fiscal responsibility, building a successful program, compliance issues, and academic issues.
Pearl has been the Offensive Coordinator since 2007. In his 1st year as OC, A&M averaged 40 points per game for the first time in school history... A&M went on to finish up 9-2. Although the Bulldog Offense did not fare as well in 2008, Pearl helped to guide the Offense to an average of 30 points per game.
During his 8 year tenure at A&M, Pearl has completed Internships with the National Football League's Oakland Raiders under Head Coach (Art Shell), and with the New York Jets under Coach (Herman Edwards).
